Kentucky State Police arrested two people in Hart County on Wednesday after receiving an anonymous tip about a methamphetamine lab at 1480 Bales Road in Magnolia, according to a release from state police.
Troopers Timmy Jewell, Jeremy Smith, Wes Medley and Daniel White responded to the tip, and once inside the home found an active one-step lab, rock salt, Coleman fuel, cold compresses and an HCL generator.
Jaclyn Wease, 32, of Upton, and Albert T. Speed, 31, of Magnolia, were arrested and lodged in the Hart County Jail on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine. Speed was also charged with offenses unrelated to this incident.
Jewell is leading the ongoing investigation.
Counterfeit money – A gas station clerk at 2350 Scottsville Road told the Bowling Green Police Department on Dec. 14 that someone tried to pass a phony $100 bill.
The clerk told police that he ran the bill under a black light detector that showed the bill was a fake. However, the mint date on the bill is 1985, which is before modern anti-counterfeit measures such as the present-day watermark and embedded strip were incorporated into U.S. Treasury notes, according to BGPD records.
Police spoke with the woman who tried to use the bill. She told police that she had just received the bill from the Western Union at the Kroger on Scottsville Road. Police were able to verify that the woman had in fact received $150 cash that day, records show.
Police confiscated the bill and sent it off for processing.
Burglary – Devon Edonston, who owns Art Asylum Tattoo, 2052 Russellville Road, told city police Monday that someone broke into his business and stole two tattoo ink guns and several types of ink, according to city police records.
Edonston gave police the name of possible suspect, whose name was redacted from police records.
Police determined that there was no forced entry to the business.
Burglary – City police Wednesday responded to a burglary report at Bowling Green West Little League, 1341 Normalview Drive.
Someone broke into the concession stand and stole $800 worth of food and baseball equipment.
The person who called police took photos at the scene that will be provided to police.
