Bro. David Kelly Madison, 57, of Brownsville, died suddenly at his home, Nov. 14, 2011.
Born March 2, 1954, in Brownsville, he was the son of the late Everette and Lucille Vincent Madison. He was a long-time employee of Hill’s Pet Foods in Bowling Green, a member and Past Noble Grand of the Brownsville Odd Fellows Lodge 164 F.L.T.; also a member of Washington Meredith Lodge #355 F.&A.M. and a 47-year, devoted member of Poplar Spring United Baptist Church. He was a part of the Madison Brothers Quartet and had sung at a countless number of funerals and other services, in his work for the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Dennison Madison of Brownsville; one daughter, Allison Madison of Brownsville; two sons, David Alan Madison of Lewisburg and Bro. Dereke Austin Madison and his wife, Stephanie, of Lindseyville; three grandchildren, Joshua Caleb Vincent of Sonora, Sarah Elizabeth Madison of Lindseyville and Nia Starr Axtell of Brownsville; his mother-in-law, Ann Dennison of Louisville; father-in-law, Elmer Dennison of Louisville; one brother-in-law, Ricky Dennison of Louisville; three sisters: Gertie Minyard and her husband, Ed, of Bee Spring, Martha Nell York and her husband, Paul David, of Brownsville and Sherry Madison and her companion, Jeff Emberton, of Richardsville; six brothers, Gerald Madison and his wife, Alice, of Macon, Ga., Charles Madison and his wife, Ruby, of Brownsville, the Rev. Elzie Madison and his wife, Dot of Louisville, John G. Madison and his wife, Carla, of Brownsville, Raymond Madison and his wife, Nancy, of Louisville, Anthony Madison and his wife, Pam, of Brownsville, along with several nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, Joel Kevin Madison, on March 18, 2006.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Poplar Spring United Baptist Church, with burial in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville Chapel.
