Once you have your supplies, you’ll want to do your letter first, giving it plenty of time to dry. For this wreath, I choose to use a plain wooden letter and spray it with, “Make It Stone” spray paint & let dry.
When making a floral wreath, I like to start with the biggest flower first. I leave that stem a little longer so I can weave it in for extra support. Then, reinforce with wire & hot glue. After I’ve set the big flower, I add what I like to call, “bundle flowers”, which have mutliple flowers on each stem set. They add fullness to the wreath as well as a good color variation. I also reinforce them with hot glue & floral wire.
Here comes the tricky part! Adding various “fillers”. You don’t want holes in between the flowers so by adding various foilage & berries, you take care of the holes & give the wreath an extra pop of color.
The last step is placing the letter on, but before you do, make sure it’s completely dry. Before gluing the letter down, make sure you try it in a few spots first. it could look better where you least expect it. There was no bracket on the back so I hot glued a wire on for the extra support, then wired it onto the wreath.
There you have it! Just hang it on your door and you’re done! You can also make Christmas and other themed wreaths.
