Pauline’s to be discussed at the Warren County Public Library
Published 12:00 am Thursday, October 13, 2011
Mary Lucas, a local resident who has done extensive research on Pauline Tabor, will speak at the Bob Kirby Branch. “Pauline’s” was a Bowling Green brothel which operated here for many years and was widely known. In the late sixties she closed her house and in 1971 published her memoirs, titled simply Pauline’s.
“Mary has used Pauline’s memoirs and local interviews with people who knew her to put together a program about one of Bowling Green’s most colorful characters,” says Marilyn Mattingly, coordinator of the Kirby Branch Book Discussion Group. “Mary is a very dynamic speaker so I know we will have a very interesting time.”
