White-Young

The wedding of Suzanne Carole White and Darren Eldridge Young was performed by the Rev. Robert Tarrence on June 4, 2011, at Plum Springs Baptist Church in Bowling Green.

The bride is the daughter of William and Jennifer White of Bowling Green. She is the granddaughter of Virginia Robertson and the late Charles P. Robertson of Bowling Green and Nannie P. White and the late Charles Joseph White of Tazewell, Va. Suzanne is a 2007 graduate of Warren East High School. She attended Western Kentucky University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. She is employed by Warren County Public Schools in Bowling Green as a first-grade teacher.

The groom is the son of Greg and Glenda Young of Bowling Green. He is the grandson of Bernice Kinser, Darrel Kinser of Bowling Green and Jassil Young of Bowling Green. Darren is a 2006 graduate of Bowling Green Christian Academy. He attended Western Kentucky University and Bowling Green Technical College, where he received an associate degree in applied science. He is the project manager and estimator with Young’s Mechanical in Bowling Green.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Mary Elizabeth Tester of Bowling Green, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Cory Givens of Bowling Green, friend of the groom, served as best man. Other members of the wedding party were bridesmaids, Krystal Young, Christie Howard, Emily Ahnquist of Bowling Green and Leia Tucker of Horse Cave, and groomsmen Clint Young, Timmy Young, Jeffrey Green and Josh Hayes of Bowling Green.

Bentley Wilson of Oakland, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer, and Emarie Grant of Bowling Green, cousin of the groom, was flower girl. Ushers were Tyler McKain, Cody Hayes and Chris Greenwood of Bowling Green, friends of the groom.

Amy Bower and Erica Wilson, cousins of the bride, and Jane Lindsey of Brownsville, stepsister of the groom, served as registry attendants.

There was a reception afterward at the Holiday Inn-University Plaza Hotel in Bowling Green. After a honeymoon to Destin Beach, Fla., the couple reside in Bowling Green.
