Police News: City police receive report of break-in at medical clinic

Sometime between 3 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday, a thief or thieves broke into Western Kentucky Gastroenterology Clinic, 996 Wilkinson Trace, rifled through files and stole money, according to Bowling Green Police Department records.
Dr. Abrar Arshad told city police on Saturday that he entered the office at 4 p.m. and noticed that someone had broken into the office. Arshad told police that the neurology clinic had also been broken into.
In Arshad’s office, the thief stole $100 in cash.
Dr. Amir Zia led police through the neurology clinic. A thief stole $185 in cash from the small office in the hallway in that clinic. The thief also rummaged through files.
Assault — A Bowling Green man told city police that he witnessed a fight in the early morning hours Sunday between two men at Reservoir Hill.
When police arrived, Dustin Cude of Bowling Green, who had an abrasion over his left eye and a broken right leg, told police that he had been assaulted by Bradley Tabor, 22, of Bowling Green.
The witness told police that he saw two people sitting on benches on Reservoir Hill. The two men exchanged words, with Tabor eventually pushing Cude off a platform, according to the report. Cude fell 61/2 feet to the ground.
Cude was taken to The Medical Center for treatment.
When police found Tabor, he said that he confronted Cude about a fight that two of them had two weeks earlier at Tidball’s Bar, according to city police records.
He saw Cude early Sunday morning in front of 440 Main, when Cude was walking east on Main Avenue. Tabor told police that he was trying to talk to Cude about their previous dispute when they got into another altercation at the benches on Reservoir Hill.
Tabor was charged with second-degree assault and alcohol intoxication in a public place third or greater offense, according to Warren County Regional Jail online records. Tabor paid a $5,000 bond and is released pending an Oct. 5 court appearance in Warren District Court.
The case remains open.
Theft — A freezer used to store dead animals before cremation was taken Monday from Alpine Pet Care, 2357 Nashville Road, according to city police records.
The freezer was kept outside behind the business. The thief or thieves did not attempt to gain entry into the pet care center.
Before taking off with the freezer, they removed the frozen animals and left them at the scene.
