RUSSELLVILLE — Laurette Campbell Smotherman, 88, of Russellville, KY passed away Monday Sept. 12, 2011 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late John and Mattie Belcher Campbell. Mrs. Smotherman was born on July 10, 1923 in Logan County, KY. She was a Librarian Assistant at the Logan County Library and was a member of the Kedron Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe L. Smotherman, Sr.

She is survived by two sons, Joe L. Smotherman, Jr. and wife Theresa and Barry Smotherman and wife Connie, two daughters, Sharon Crossley and husband Jack and Donna Heidel and husband Allen all of Russellville, seven grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Laurette Smotherman will be conducted 11 AM Wednesday Sept. 14, 2011 in the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with burial to follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be after 5 PM Tuesday and after 8 AM Wednesday until the funeral hour.
