Glen L. Cornwell

TOMPKINSVILLE — Glen Lee Cornwell, 65, of Fountain Run, died Aug. 28, 2011, at his home after a brief illness.

The Monroe County native was born April 11, 1946. He was a retired employee of Beldin Wire & Cable and a Baptist. He was united in marriage on April 3, 1981, to Patty Jordan. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wendell Cornwell.

Funeral is at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Strode Funeral Home, with burial in Fountain Run Cemetery. Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Patty Jordan Cornwell; a son, James Cornwell of Indianapolis; two stepsons, Donivan Spears of Fountain Run and Shawn Spears of Scottsville; three daughters, Melissa Ruiz of Houston, and Angelia Ramey and Candace Cornwell, both of Indianapolis; a stepdaughter, Kelly Lasley of Bowling Green; two sisters, Mary McLerran and Deborah Durham, both of Indianapolis; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
