SKyPAC Asks Area Residents for Comments and Input on Opening Night Performance

The Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center (SKyPAC) is asking area residents for their suggestions and comments on which national performing artist or group they think would be best as a part of the opening night celebration, scheduled for Saturday, March 10, 2012.

The online “Opening Night” survey can be found by visiting www.surveymonkey.com/s/skypac.  The first question is:

Which of the following would you like to see perform on SKyPAC’s opening night in March 2012? (Please choose your top 2 preferences).

Possible opening night performers include Michael Crawford, Wynonna Judd, Kenny Loggins, Patti Lupone, Aaron Neville, The Oak Ridge Boys, Mandy Patinkin, Bernadette Peters, Kenny Rogers, Lee Ann Womack, Kansas, and Manhattan Transfer.  Demographic information is also being collected via the survey, which will be online through August 30, 2011.

SKyPAC’s Executive Director, Tom Tomlinson says of the grand opening, “We want to share with all area residents that SKyPAC is truly a facility for all types of performers and performances. We look forward to announcing additional opening night plans in the coming months.”

He continues, “We are rolling out the red carpet for all residents in the area. The grand opening celebration is a chance for all to embrace this amazing gift of an arts center as their own.”

Opening Night details, including how to purchase tickets, will be announced later this Fall.

Hard Hat Tours to Take Place Monday-Friday at 4:00 p.m. through September 30

SKyPAC has also expanded the number of Hard Hat Tours it is offering in September by announcing that tours will take place Monday-Friday at 4:00 p.m. from September 1 -30.
