BARDSTOWN — Aaron T. Neel, 35, of Bowling Green, died Aug. 12, 2011, at the Hospice Center in Bowling Green.

The Bardstown native was born May 19, 1976. He was an employee of Ingram Industries, a graduate of Bethlehem High School and Western Kentucky University, a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Bowling Green, an avid Michigan fan, fisherman, soccer, music and college football fan. He was a son of Joe and Nancy Neel of Bardstown, who survive. He was preceded in death by two grandparents, Victor Neel and Mary Gertrude Thomas Wheatley; and a sister, Melissa Carol Neel.

Funeral Mass is at 11 a.m. Monday at Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral, with burial in St. Rose Cemetery in Springfield. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown. A prayer service will be held tonight.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Southern Kentucky, Bethlehem High School in Bardstown or Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Danette Neel; a son, Evan Thomas Neel of Bowling Green; a brother, Pat Neel and his wife, Susan, of Bardstown; a sister, Emily Cheek and her husband, Jason, of Bardstown; two grandparents, Joseph “Buck” Wheatley and Geneva Neel of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
