Vaden-Brooks

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rogers Vaden of Lynchburg, Va., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Katharine Jett Vaden, to Christopher Clark Brooks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Clark Brooks of Bowling Green.

Jett is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ogden Halsey Hill and the late Mr. Ogden Halsey Hill of Roanoke, Va., and the late Dr. and Mrs. Edwin Booth Vaden of Charlottesville, Va. She is a 2006 graduate of The University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn. She is the environmental programs coordinator at Vermont Law School.

Chris is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Ollie Getchell of Lexington and Dr. Carroll Clark Brooks and the late Mrs. Carroll Clark Brooks of Bowling Green. He is a 2004 graduate of The University of the South and a 2010 graduate of Vermont Law School, where he now works as the associate for environmental policy and the new economy.

The wedding will be Aug. 20, 2011, at “Look Off” on Bent Mountain in Roanoke County, Va.
