Tim Earnhart tapped for advertising board

Tim Earnhart, founder, CEO and head carpenter of Werkshop Marketing, has been appointed to the American Advertising Federation Nashville board of directors.

He began his two-year term in June, when he joined other advertising, marketing and communications professionals to increase and improve the opportunities available to the advertising/communications industry in Nashville.

AAF Nashville is a branch of the national nonprofit organization, affiliated with the Seventh District of the American Advertising Federation. The AAF is the oldest national advertising trade association, with its grassroots network including ad clubs, college chapters, students and corporate members.

Werkshop Marketing is a full-service agency with the mission of custom building successful brands. It has offices in Bowling Green and Nashville.

GM produces 13,596 Corvettes for 2011

The National Corvette Museum in its newsletter this week published information about Corvette sales.

The GM Corvette Assembly Plant said it has produced 13,596 Corvettes for the 2011 model. The number of cars produced for each color are Black (2,891), Torch Red (2,264), Crystal Red (1,419), Supersonic Blue (1,417), Cyber Gray (1,197), Arctic White (1,133), Blade Silver (1,037), Velocity Yellow (867), Inferno Orange (790) and Jetstream Blue (581).

Regional leaders meet with legislators in D.C.

Southcentral Kentucky leaders traveled to the nation’s capital to visit legislators and their representatives during the South Central Kentucky Washington D.C. Fly-In.

Hosted by the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce and led by board Chairman Rodney Rogers, President and CEO Ron Bunch and Program Director Lindsey McClain, the Fly-In was July 12-14.

Chamber partners participating included Mike Buchanon, Warren County judge-executive; Steve Davis, board chair-elect, Realtor Association of Southern Kentucky; Bill Garrison, chief financial officer of Stewart-Richey Construction; Wayne Goodrum, Warren Rural Electric Cooperative Corp.; Charles Hardcastle, president of Consolidated Paper, and his wife, Carolyn; Gary Ransdell, president of Western Kentucky University; Rick Starks, vice president of WRECC; and Robbin Taylor, vice president of public affairs at WKU.

Participants met with U.S. Reps. Ben Chandler, D-Versailles, Brett Guthrie, R-Bowling Green, and Ed Whitfield, R-Hopkinsville, and Republican U.S. Sens. Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul. They also met with representatives from the offices of other Kentucky congressmen.

Toys ‘R’ Us remodel complete for babies

Toys “R” Us has announced that Babies “R” Us will join Toys “R” Us in Bowling Green to provide parents with a one-stop shopping destination for children of all ages.

The store will celebrate its grand reopening Aug. 5-7 with savings, giveaways, kid-friendly activities and visits from popular costumed characters.

Local animal hospital earns its accreditation

All Creatures Animal Hospital earned accreditation following an evaluation by the American Animal Hospital Association that included a quality assessment review of the hospital’s practice protocols, medical equipment, facility and client service.

To maintain accredited status, All Creatures Animal Hospital must continue to be evaluated regularly by AAHA.
