Help paint a mural for SKyPAC
Published 12:00 am Wednesday, July 20, 2011
This Saturday, July 23 from 9 am – 11 am, community members are invited to paint a mural for Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center (SKyPAC) under the direction of muralist and educator Andee Rudloff. Rudloff previously held a similar event for Riverside Village which can be seen in the video below.
Like the Riverside project, footage and photographs will be shot of the process and edited into a time lapse video documenting the endeavor. The mural will adorn the side of the trailer currently serving as SKyPAC offices. However, it will be painted on a removable tapestry to be moved or repurposed once construction on SKyPAC is complete.
Andee Rudloff is the Education Director for the SKyPAC which will open March of 2012. She had previously served as Community Relations Manager at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts in Nashville TN and Curator of the Nashville International Airport’s Arts at the Airport Foundation.
