Rachel Pearl heads home to Bowling Green this weekend to perform at Great Escape Records and Comics Saturday July 16 at noon.  The talented jazz/pop singer and daughter of Jane Pearl has recently debuted her first video for her song Like A Video which will be on her upcoming album if she is able to procure funding through Kickstarter to complete the project.

Like A Video, which can be seen below, was written and the video directed by Pearl and Merry Ellen Kirk.  Her Kickstarter project at www.kickstarter.com/projects/rachelpearl/rachel-pearls-new-pop-record?ref=users asks for pledges totally $5,000 for the production of her CD.  She currently has 33 backers who have pledged $1,078, but she must get the remaining pledges before Thursday July 28 at 11:01 am or she will not receive any funding for the project.

According to her profile she is in the mean time “writing, recording, touring parts of the US, and working on music videos regarding this project.”
