Poison Karma just may be Bowling Green’s hardest working band. Featuring the vocal styling of Maria Donatelli and the lead guitar licks of Kevin Hull, their versatile catalogue of cover tunes from the 60s thru the present is sure to have something for everyone. With a solid rhythm section of Andy Stahl on bass and Dean Collier on drums you’ll find it hard to sit still in your seat. On any given night you’ll see many people who came with their dancing shoes on, just like at this show at Shelly’s.
Where else will you hear a set list so varied as Triumph’s “Magic Power”, “You Really Got Me” (Van Halen style, and if you’re lucky you’ll hear Hull burn up the fret board with “Eruption”), ZZ Top’s “Sharp Dressed Man”, AC/DC’s “You Shook Me All Night Long”, Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl”, and 4 Non Blondes’ “What’s Up?”? And there’s so much more, and it’s mostly high energy. Ms. Donatelli knows how to work a crowd and gets right out there with you. It’s always just a plain and simple good time when Poison Karma comes out to play. You will feel good. Go check them out, they play all over town.
