Chester Clemons

CLARKSON — Chester Clemons, 87, of Clarkson, died July 8, 2011, at the Hospice Center in Bowling Green.

He was born Sept. 24, 1923. He was a farmer, a carpenter and a member of Knights of Columbus. He was a son of the late Oliver Clemons and Gertrude Johnston Clemons. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Cyril and Roy Clemons; and three sisters, Monica, Meredith and Hazel Werner.

Funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, where he was a member, with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and begins at 8 a.m. Monday at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home. Prayers are at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma Clemons; two daughters, Barbara Hines and her husband, Scott Duncan, of Bowling Green, and Sandy Romano and her husband, Fernando, of Westerfield, N.J.; four sisters, Eunice Noble of Mount Washington, Eula Lee of Florida, Patricia Rustici of Pennsylvania and Shirley VanHooser of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
