Stick to principles, morals and ethics

On the Thursday Daily News editorial page, a satirical letter from prolific writer Aaron Hughey talked about what he believes as an American.
Enjoying the tongue-in-cheek essay, I wanted to share my version.
I believe if you don’t always take the easy way, but stick to your principles and a good ethics code, you will be someone with integrity.
I believe you should never cheat anyone. For example, if a store gives you too much change, return it. Honesty is the best policy.
I believe if you promise to do something, you do it, no matter what. It makes you a person who is true to your word.
I believe if you always try to do a good job, the good job done is the reward in itself.
I believe in great customer service, not just as a consumer, but as a service provider.
I believe those who serve their country or their God should wear an apron and not a bib.
I believe soldiers, Marines, sailors, airmen and veterans are a blessing to our country and not to be discarded once their military service ends.
I believe to those who are blessed with much, much is expected.
I am an American and not a United States congressman or senator.
