Pauline “Bea” Hoch Barton, 98, of Bowling Green, died May 22, 2011, at Greenview Regional Hospital.
The Catasuqua, Pa., native was born June 11, 1912. She moved to Bowling Green in 1946 and was a graduate of Homewood Training School for Nursing in Germantown, Pa., and the Western Kentucky Vocational School. She was an interior decorator for Sherwin Williams and Porter Paint. Following her retirement, she remained an active volunteer at both The Medical Center and Greenview Regional Hospital. She was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She married Finis “Bart” Barton, who preceded her in death in 1974. She was a daughter of the late Albert Hoch and Lucinda Miller Hoch. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Swanson.
Memorial service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stoner Family Funeral Home. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Survivors include a daughter, Cindy McGaughey of Bowling Green; two grandchildren, Sean and Emileigh McGaughey, both of Bowling Green; and a nephew, David Hoch of Bangor, Maine.
