Fashionista to the Rescue

Finding your fashion inspiration can come from anywhere. Whether it’s the latest styles from the catwalk or a color palette from a beautiful painting, fashion is everywhere.  In my next installment of Fashionista around town, I talked with Jennifer Travelstead of Sweet Pea Boutique to find out what inspires her.

Describe Your Personal Style? My personal style is relaxed, trendy, and somewhat classic to fit my lifestyle.  I think women have so many choices that we can have an eclectic mix of lines in our closets, from Glam to BoHo – where lifestyle, fashion and trends intersect. 

Favorite Accessory?  Summer/Fall 2011 is trending toward the Boho and Native American vibe.  I fell in love with the jewelry combining the two that could double on the wrist or neck. Sweet Pea offers leather & metal combos that are infused with gemstones and can be layered with your other pieces.

One Spring Must Have Trend? LACE, LACE, LACE is hot for the spring and summer season.

All time Favorite item in your closet? I would have to say a pair of custom cowboy boots my husband gave me as a wedding gift!  I absolutely love them and have worn them out!! 

Favorite city to shop in and why? Las Vegas has everything you can imagine.  Vegas has all the glitz and glam plus it’s the best place to shoe shop!

Favorite shop outside of Bowling Green? Playa Del Carmen-Market on 5th Ave.  It has the most amazing authentic handcrafted jewelry, handbags, and shoes.  The pieces are absolutely stunning.
