Special services
- Rich Pond Baptist Church, 200 Brad Ave., will have its 2011 Easter pageant at 7 p.m. Thursday through April 16 and at 10 a.m. April 17. For free tickets, call 842-2593 or go to www.richpond.org.
- Bowling Green First (10th Avenue) General Baptist Church, 311 W. 10th Ave., will have revival services at 5 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Evangelist Tommy Reels will be the evangelist. Each night will have special music. Bro. Randal Hendrick is pastor.
- The Rev. Peter Connolly will speak Sunday at The Unitarian Universalist Church. His topic will be “Maintaining the Balance.”
- New Birth Missionary Baptist Church will have its annual Youth Day on April 24. The Rev. Frederick Hill is pastor.
- Mount Herman Missionary Baptist Church in Adairville will have spring revival at 7 p.m. Wednesday through April 15. The Rev. Randy Taylor will be the evangelist. The Rev. Lee Fishback is pastor.
- Southside Baptist Church, 557 Memphis Junction Road, will have revival services Sunday through Wednesday. Service times are at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday and at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Bro. Darrin Miller will be the evangelist. The church will also have a pancake breakfast and yard sale from 7 a.m. to noon April 16. The pancake breakfast will support the youth ministry, while the yard sale will support vacation Bible school.
- Glenview Christian Church in Glasgow will have a special Easter celebration April 24. There will be two identical worship services at 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m., along with two kids’ church/wee worships and two nursery/toddlers (child care will be provided). Sunday school services will be dismissed. The message, “R U Amazed,” focuses on the 5 R’s and tying them into five key Bible characters who experienced the Resurrection Power of Jesus Christ. - Zion Hill Baptist Church will have Spring Revival at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. The Rev. Chris Curry will be the speaker.
- Pastor Ray Hobson will speak at 4 p.m. Sunday at Alpha & Omega Pentecostal Church.
- Icy Sink Baptist Church will have Family and Friends Day at 11 a.m. April 24. Sunday school will be at 9:45 a.m. Bible study will be at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday. The Rev. Steve Branham is pastor.
- Stoney Point Baptist Church will have its pastor’s 13th anniversary Sunday. The Rev. Tony Woodson, associate minister of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Oakland, will be the 8 a.m. guest speaker. Devon West of Mariah Grove Baptist Church of Adairville will be the 11 a.m. guest.
- The Rev. Robert L. Brown Annual Day will be observed during the 11 a.m. service Sunday at Little Zion Baptist Church. The Rev. Kenny Boardwill be the speaker. Thomas Anthony is pastor.
- Oakland Mount Zion Baptist Church will observe the church’s anniversary Sunday. The afternoon guests will be the Rev. Fred Hill and members of New Birth Baptist Church. Lunch will be served. The Rev. Donald Valentine is pastor.
- Woodburn First Baptist Church, 176 Fletcher St., will observe Deacons and Trustees’ Day at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. James Carpenter and Blue Level Missionary Baptist Church will be the afternoon guests. Lunch will be served. The church’s Women’s Ministry will have a fish fry from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the BGMU Annex, 801 Center St. Delivery will be available for orders that are $20 or over. - In honor of the ninth anniversary of its pastor, Joe Mallory Sullivan Sr., and First Lady Sister Beverly Sullivan, Seventh Street Baptist Church will have anniversary services April 17. The Rev. Kevin Mays, associate minister of State Street United Methodist Church of Bowling Green, will be the 11 a.m. guest speaker. Pastor Norris Mills of Cedar Grove Baptist Church of Hopkinsville will be the 3 p.m. guest.

- Stoney Point Baptist Church will celebrate the 13th pastoral anniversary of Pastor Chris and First Lady Rita Whitney on Sunday. Minister Tony Woodson will be the 8 a.m. evangelist. Pastor Devin West and Marriah Grove will be the 11 a.m. guests.
- Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Alvaton will conclude its spring revival today. The Rev. Curtis Johnson will be the guest. The church will celebrate its choir anniversary Sunday. The Rev. Hugh Heater of First Baptist Church of Horse Cave will be the guest speaker. Lunch will be served upon the arrival of the guests. Peter Williams is pastor.

- Taylor Chapel AME Church will have a pancake breakfast hosted by the Women’s Missionary Society from 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. - Trinity Full Gospel Baptist Church, 200 Center St., will celebrate 26 years of praising and serving the Lord on April 17. Pastor Victor Coleman and the Alpha & Omega Pentecostal Church of Bowling Green will be the 10:45 a.m. guests. Pastor T. Curtis Daniels and Loving Chapel Baptist Church of Franklin will be the 3 p.m. guests. The theme for the day is “Walking in Victory” (Psalm 91).
- Rich Pond Baptist Church, 200 Brad Ave., will present its annual Easter pageant, titled “39 Hours,” at 7 p.m. Thursday through April 16 and at 10 a.m. April 17 at the church. - The Sneed Family of Glasgow will sing at 6:30 p.m. April 17 at Goodsen Chapel Methodist Church in Metcalfe County; at 10:45 a.m. April 17 at Antioch Methodist Church in Columbia; and at 7 p.m. April 30 at Mount Union General Baptist Church in Allen County.
- A Southern Gospel Spring Sing is at 7 p.m. April 22 at Warren East High School Auditorium. Jerry Patton and the Golden Keys, the Allegiance Quartet, Southland and the Sneed Family will sing. Admission is free and the event will be sponsored by the Lions Club of Edmonson County.
- The Joymakers from Greensburg will sing at 5:30 p.m. April 30 at Jackson Grove Baptist Church, 959 Bristow Road. Finger food and fellowship will follow the singing.
- Sacred Harmony Singers will sing at 6 p.m. April 17 at Fairview Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, 1150 Fairview Ave. Jerry Miller is pastor.
- The Turner Family has the following singing scheduled: 7 p.m. Saturday at Rosine Missionary Baptist Church; 6 p.m. Sunday at Christian Worship Center in Horse Cave; 10 a.m. April 16 at New Hope General Baptist Church in Lewisburg for its all-day annual singing; 10:30 a.m. EDT April 17 at Independent General Baptist Church in Shepherdsville; and at noon EDT April 24 at Trinity Full Gospel Church in Indianapolis.
- New Bethel Baptist Church Senior Choir will sponsor a Fellowship Program featuring The Power of Praise Gospel Singers and The Spiritual Echoes at 7 p.m. April 16. The Rev. E.J. Jackson is pastor.
- Chelsea Hendrick and Jennifer Martin will sing at 6 p.m. Sunday at Friendship Baptist Church at Oakland.
- The Singing Seniors will sing at 3 p.m. Sunday at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Morgantown.
