Mary Louise Miller, 72, of Bowling Green, died at 5:10 a.m. March 12, 2011, at a Bowling Green nursing home.
The Knob Lick native was born Dec. 10, 1938. She was a retired nurse’s aide for area nursing homes. She was a Baptist. She was outgoing, loved to cook, being outside, sewing and being around people. She was a daughter of the late Virgil Stephens and Annie Jessie Stephens and the wife of the late Howard K. Miller. She was preceded in death by two sons, Howard Kelly Miller Jr. and Marty Dale Miller; and four brothers, J.W. Stephens, Henry Stephens, James Howard Stephens and William Stephens.
Funeral is at 1 p.m. Wednesday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home Broadway Avenue chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation is from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday and begins at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include three daughters, Cynthia Alvey and her husband, Donald Sr., Felicia Scantland and her companion, Mike “Fuzzy” Morgan, and Seretha “Shay” Miller and her companion, John Harpool, all of Bowling Green; four sisters, Seretha Ann Adams and her husband, Leon, of Roundhill, Dorothy Herrington of Bowling Green, Helen Bewley and her husband, Lewis, of Glasgow and Lillian Petty and her husband, Larry, of Bowling Green; three brothers, Ray Stephens and his wife, Martha, of Richardsville, Paul Stephens and his wife, Norma, of Allen County and Ernest Stephens of Bowling Green; six grandchildren, Donald Alvey Jr. and his wife, Crystal, Tanya Alvey, Christina Medina and her husband, Secundino, LaTosha Scantland, Kelly Scantland and James Joshua Miller; 10 great-grandchildren, Donald Alvey III, LaTanya, LaJayden, Madison, Kayton, Damatre, Justice, Martina, Austin and Lanaeha; a great-great-granddaughter, Marissa Meeks; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
