POLICE NEWS: Bowling Green man injured in hit-and-run incident

A pedestrian was injured early Sunday in a hit-and-run incident.
According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Curtis Duncan, 53, of Bowling Green, was crossing Shady Drive at the 100 block when he was struck by a pickup truck around midnight Sunday.
The truck continued driving after striking Duncan, according to the sheriff’s office. Duncan was treated at The Medical Center for his injuries.
Duncan told authorities the truck was a newer model Ford pickup truck that was either black or some other dark color, the sheriff’s office said. Neither the driver nor the vehicle have been identified, though the truck may have damage to its rear passenger side.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 842-1633.
Arrest — Rigoberto Miner, 43, 711 Old Morgantown Road, was arrested at 3:30 a.m. Sunday at Kobe Aluminum, 525 Central Court, and charged with first-degree rape (victim less than 12 years of age) and first-degree sexual abuse (victim less than 12 years of age).
According to a Bowling Green Police Department arrest report, Miner was suspected by relatives of sexually assaulting his 10-year-old daughter. Relatives said the girl had been acting different recently, that Miner had been hugging and touching her more frequently and that a pair of the girl’s jeans with blood in the genital area had been found recently.
The alleged victim told police that Miner touched her inappropriately and attempted to penetrate her, the report said.
Miner refused to speak with police, according to the report.
He was placed in Warren County Regional Jail under a $100,000 cash bond.
Arrest — Delana L. Zais, 24, 688 Barrett Blvd., No. 23, Henderson, was arrested at 9:07 a.m. Sunday at Minit Mart, 810 Morgantown Road, and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance.
According to a city police arrest report, officers found Zais passed out behind the wheel of a car parked outside Minit Mart. Police found two pills identified at Nucynta in a cellophane bag on the car’s floorboard. Zais said a friend gave her the pills for pain, the report said.
She was jailed under no bond.
Arrest — Ricky D. Butler, 51, 1856 Loop Drive, Lot No. 50, was arrested at 4:06 a.m. Saturday near his residence and charged with third-degree assault (police or probation officer), operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (second offense) and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.
According to a city police arrest report, officers responded to a report of a person passed out in a running vehicle.
Butler was found asleep in the driver’s seat and was asked to turn off the car and step outside. Butler refused to take field sobriety tests and was taken to The Medical Center to obtain a blood sample.
As police took the handcuffs off Butler at the hospital for him to sign a consent form, Butler lunged away from an officer, who grabbed him and pinned him against a cabinet. Butler pushed back, causing the officer to hit the floor and injure his hand, the report said. Butler continued to fight the officer until he was put back in handcuffs, according to the report.
He was jailed under a $5,000 cash bond.
Arrest — James J. Galloway, 28, 304 E. Brown St., Glasgow, was arrested at 9:53 p.m. Saturday at his residence and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 yards of a school, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and third-degree possession of a controlled substance.
According to a Glasgow Police Department arrest report, officers responded to Galloway’s residence on a drug complaint. Two bags of marijuana were found during a search, along with one klonopin pill on top of a dresser, scales and a marijuana grinder, the report said.
