Hospice Chocolate Festival

Enjoy delectable chocolate creations while raising money and awareness for the work of Hospice of Southern Kentucky at this year’s Chocolate Festival. Over thirty five restaurants and caterers will be on hand with sample of their most scrumptous treats. The event also features a celebrity cookie eating contest and a silent auction.
Hospice of Southern Kentucky first opened as Hospice of Bowling Green in 1981 with an all volunteer staff. Since that time the organization has grown to a 10 bed inpaitient Hospice Center offering physical, emotional and spiritual care. They oast over 40 employees as well as many volunteers who “work together to help ease the loneliness and fear of death”.
According to the organization’s website, “Depending upon patient needs, hospice services may include, but are not limited to: In-home skilled nursing care Emotional support Pain and symptom control Equipment, including hospital beds Health Care Aides to assist with personal hygiene Coordination with other community resources Pastoral counseling Bereavement counseling Wherever you are, at home, in a nursing facility, or in a hospital, hospice can be there too.”
The Chocolate Festival will take place February 20 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Sloan Convention Center.
