“It’s a day for brides and their wedding party and their groom – if they’re lucky enough to get their grooms out there,” organizer Tammy Duke Paull said, laughing. “They can meet with some of the top wedding professionals. They can get their planning done all in one day. We’ve got a little bit of everything for everyone.”

Bridal Fest will feature more than 50 vendors in the wedding industry, including bakeries, bridal boutiques and photographers. There will be door prizes throughout the day, and brides will receive gift bags. People will model dresses from David’s Bridal during the show. There will also be a grand prize – wedding planning services and other goodies – awarded during the event, Paull said.

“Last year we had about 178 brides and usually over 300 people, if you include guests,” she said.

Cindy Cossey, owner of Cindy’s DJ and Dance, is a regular Bridal Fest vendor. She plans to play music during the event and will have song lists available to help brides who might not have songs chosen for their weddings.

“Bridal Fest puts you out there,” she said. “We’re able to set up. They see what they’re getting.”

The event also helps her get ideas, Cossey said.

“You see a lot of other vendors you get to meet,” she said. “You see their work and can recommend them to some of your brides.”

Megan Wright, owner of Megan Wright Design Co., is a first-time Bridal Fest vendor. Her business – which includes customized wedding invitations, announcements, stationery and silhouettes – started recently.

“When I got married two years ago, I designed my wedding invitations and decided to do some for some friends. I found out I was passionate about this,” she said. “I emphasize custom invitations. I design for brides who have a particular theme for their wedding.”

Wright said her booth will show past bridal invitations and wedding programs to give brides a feel for the types of things they can order for their weddings.

“I’m really excited about it,” she said.
