TOMPKINSVILLE — Nova Bea Scott Cain, 80, of Tompkinsville, died Dec. 25, 2010, at Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green.

The Monroe County native was born June 19, 1930. She was a retired cook for the Monroe County Board of Education and a member of the Berea Church of Christ. She was a daughter of the late Powell Scott and Nancy Daniels Scott and the wife of the late Lester Ray Cain, who she married on Dec. 21, 1947. She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Scott; and two sisters, Maggie Underwood and Ruby Perdue.

Funeral is at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Strode Funeral Home, Tompkinsville chapel, with burial in Bailey Cemetery. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home.

Survivors include three daughters, Wanda Cherry and her husband, Earl, of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., Rachel Meadows and her husband, Landon, of Celina, Tenn., and Penny Francis and her husband, Rusty, of Tompkinsville; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
