Virginia R. Barbee

AUBURN — Virginia Rose Barbee, 69, of Auburn, died Dec. 19, 2010, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
The Allen County native was born May 13, 1941. She worked in quality control with Seal Power and was a member of Auburn Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Herman Pendleton and Eva Hortense Crowder Hughes. She was preceded in death by a brother, Benny Hughes.
Funeral is at 10 a.m. Thursday at Young Funeral Home, Auburn chapel, with burial in Auburn Cemetery. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Auburn Health Care Activity fund, 139 Pearl St., Auburn, KY 42206.
Survivors include her husband, Harry Barbee; three sons, Sean Barrow of Auburn and Lee Barbee and James Barbee, both of Richmond, Va.; three daughters, Dawn Orange and her husband, Kerry, of Auburn, Kristel Gray of Cocoa, Fla., and Tina Wagner and her husband, Steve, of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Janelle Hayes and her husband, Thomas, of Auburn; and a special niece, Jana Hanks and her husband, C.K., of Auburn.
