GLASGOW — Hazel Criswell Slagle, 77, of Glasgow, died Dec. 18, 2010, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
The Wayne County native was born March 3, 1933. She was the manager for Jolly’s restaurant in Glasgow for several years and was a Baptist. She was a daughter of the late Lee Criswell and Dovie Martin Criswell and the wife of the late Dock Slagle. She was preceded in death by a son, Dock Jr.; a daughter, Rita; two brothers, Willard and Dillard Criswell; and three sisters, Louise, Jewell and Pauline.
Funeral is at 1 p.m. today at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include three sons, Tony Slagle and his wife, Linda Carol, Tommy Slagle and Jimmy Slagle, all of Glasgow; a brother, Jarvis Criswell and his wife, Geraldine, of Monticello; a sister, Bernice Coffey of Monticello; seven grandchildren, Jeanetta Jones and her husband, Donnie, Dale Garmon and his wife, Robin, Tommy Slagle Jr. and his wife, Kelly, Edgar Slagle and his wife, Robin, Dana Garmon and James Slagle and his wife, Brenda, all of Glasgow, and Christie Rice and her husband, Tommy, of Tennessee; and 18 great-grandchildren.
