Audrey Simpson

Audrey “Faye” Simpson, 76, of Woodburn, died at 8:05 p.m. Nov. 21, 2010, at her residence.

The Warren County native was born May 12, 1934. She was a housewife and homemaker. She was a member of Old Union Missionary Baptist Church, a former member of the Greenbrier Wagon Club and loved her flowers. Her family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very important to her. She and her husband served as foster parents for many children. She was a daughter of the late William Henry Harris and Lena Jewell Law Harris. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and Charles Harris.

Funeral is at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Broadway Avenue chapel, with burial in the Old Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and begins at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Hubert Lee Simpson of Woodburn; three daughters, Devonna Elaine Simpson of Woodburn, Becky Faye Brown and her husband, Ronnie, of Alvaton, and Audrey Melissa Lindsey and her husband, John, of Bowling Green; two sons, Doug Simpson and his longtime companion, Dot, and Dennis Simpson, all of Bowling Green; a sister, Gayle Lee of Beech Grove, Ind.; three brothers, Don Harris and his wife, Dianne, of Woodburn, Roger Harris and his wife, Janice, of Albuquerque, N.M., and Joe Harris of Washington state; 11 grandchildren, Beverly Karraker and her husband, Chris, Tonya Simpson, Mandy Goodworth and her husband, Tom, Derek Hargis and his wife, Frankie, Tabitha Ray and her husband, Allen, Edward Brown and his wife, Kari, Daniel Hargis, Bobby Joe Simpson and his wife, Leslie, Courtney Simpson, Tiana and Glennda Sheehan; and 13 great-grandchildren, Andrew, Austin, Colton, Dylon, Emmy, Anna, Evan, Chase, Nathan, Aleesha, Gabe, Logan and Kayla.
