Specialties: Furniture, home decor, kitchen and bath items, purses, jewelry, tools, books, electronics, movies, games, clothing and shoes for entire family, linens, baby items, toys and more.

How did the business get started? We both have a love for what most people refer to as “junkin’.” We enjoyed it so much that we wanted to open our own store. After doing extensive research and searching for locations it seemed like the pieces just fell into place and we opened our store at the corner of High Street and Broadway. After a year of being open an opportunity to grow and expand our business came about and it was at that time we moved to our current location.

What is your background? Eric has a bachelor’s degree in business management and currently holds a full-time job and Nikki has an associate’s degree in office and business administration with a background in real estate.

What are your biggest challenges as a business? Trying to succeed as a small business owner.

What’s your business philosophy? Providing consignors and customers with great customer service, a friendly, fun and caring atmosphere and attitude.

What are the factors that make your business successful? We have loyal consignors and customers, a good location, and we are passionate about our business, our consignors and customers and our community.

How do you handle competition? We don’t feel like there is competition in consignment because no consignment shop has the same items. For this reason you will actually find that most consignment shops (like ours) will send their customers to other consignment shops.

What is your advice to someone thinking about opening a business? Make sure the business you want to open is something you love and are passionate about. Research your business either online or talk with another person who is in that business.
