SCOTTSVILLE — Elvan E. Penny, 74, of Scottsville, died at 4:18 a.m. Nov. 1, 2010, at The Medical Center.

The Freeport, La., native was a retired employee of Logan Aluminum, a Korean conflict Army veteran and a member of I.B.W. Union No. 278. He was a son of the late Elvan Bruce Penny and Imogene Thelma Rudd Penny. He was preceded in death by a son, Leroy Penny.

Funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home, with burial in Fairview Cemetery with military honors by Barren County D.A.V. Chapter 20. Visitation begins at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Eva R. Penny; three sons, Elliott Penny and his wife, Leslie, and Elvan Bruce Penny, all of Scottsville, and J.D. Penny and his wife, Rosario, of San Benito, Texas; two daughters, Patricia Peavey of Houston and Debbie Penny of Mobile, Ala.; and five grandchildren, Olivia, Erin, Phillip, James and Josh Penny.
