The Capitol Arts Alliance will hold its annual “fun”raiser – Rocktoberfest on October 23, 2010.
The night begins at 6 pm with a food and cocktail ticketed event under the tent on the lawn at Circus Square and continues at 8pm with a free to the public concert by Skip Bond and the Fugitives in the open air of Circus Square.
Executive Director, Karen Hume invites everyone to come out and enjoy the great evening with us. “Rocktoberfest is the only event that the Capitol has to raise operating funds for the year and we ask for your help in making this the best ever.”
This year in addition to food from local restaurants a wide variety of beer and spirits from beverages distributors, there will a live and silent auction of wonderful original art works and unique gift items.
As an extra bonus Skip Bond and the Fugitives will play a free to the public concert in the park beginning about 8 pm. Due to scheduling conflicts of band members, they were unable to play a concert this year and are looking forward to playing for all their friends and fans that missed them earlier this year.
As we go into our 30th year at the Capitol we are partnering with Skip Bond and the Fugitives to give something back in appreciation to our community. We thank Bowling Green and Warren County for your patronage and assistance over the years. All proceeds from the event go to helping keep the doors open and the lights on in this historic landmark of downtown – The Capitol Arts Theatre.
Sponsors for the event are US Bank, WNKY, and others.
Tickets to the main Rocktoberfest event including the food and cocktails are $50 per person/ $500 table of 10 and are on sale now thru the Capitol Box Office 270-782-2787 or website www.capitolarts.com.
Come out eat, drink and be merry and help us raise a little money to support the Capitol.
