POLICE NEWS: BG woman charged with stabbing man

A Bowling Green woman was arrested Friday after allegedly stabbing a man.

Deandra L. Price, 22, 1500 Bryant Way, Apt. C6, was charged with second-degree assault.

According to a Bowling Green Police Department report, officers responded to a 911 call at Greenwood Villa apartments from a woman who said she was going to cut people in her apartment.

Police found Robson Greason, 22, of Bowling Green, with two cuts on his chin. Greason said he and his brother were involved in an argument with Price as they tried to obtain some property from the apartment.

The brothers followed Price inside, and Price cut Greason twice in the chin with a knife, the report said.

Price told police that during the argument Greason pulled his fist back as if to punch her, leading her to cut him with the knife, according to the report.

Price allegedly made two 911 calls, stating in the first one that she was about to stab somebody and in the second one that she had just stabbed somebody.

Price was released Monday from Warren County Regional Jail on a $7,500 bond.

Accident — Henry Jewell, 62, of Canmer, was injured Saturday in a single-vehicle accident in Hart County.

According to the Kentucky State Police, Jewell was traveling north on North Jackson Highway when his 1993 Chevrolet pickup truck veered off the right shoulder.

Jewell overcorrected and his truck left the left shoulder, went through a fence and came to rest against a tree.

He was transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow for injuries and police cited him on charges of driving under the influence (second offense), no insurance, operating on a suspended license and no Kentucky registration plate/receipt.

Arrest — Joseph Daniel Morehead, 34, 1412 Clayton Court, was arrested at 2:22 p.m. Monday at city police headquarters and charged with first-degree sexual abuse (victim under 12 years of age).

According to a city police arrest report, an 11-year-old girl alleged that Morehead molested her on two occasions and exposed himself to her Oct. 4 or 5.

Morehead remains jailed under a $10,000 bond.

Arrest — Michelle Renee Harp, 29, 115 Spring St., Apt. 1, Auburn, was arrested at 2:57 p.m. Monday at city police headquarters and charged with second-degree forgery and theft by unlawful taking.

According to a city police arrest report, Harp’s ex-fiance alleged that Harp had forged his signature on 75 checks on his account between February 2009 and February of this year in the total amount of $2,937.53.

In an interview with police, Harp admitted to forging at least 60 of the 75 checks without the victim’s permission.

She remains jailed under a $3,000 bond.

Arrest — Adam Christopher Jones, 27, 936 Shive Lane, Lot 175, was arrested at 5:45 p.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of Lovers Lane and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.

According to a city police arrest report, Jones had been drinking at Logan’s Roadhouse and was witnessed getting into a Lexus SUV and driving off. The restaurant manager attempted to stop him, and told police she was standing behind the vehicle and writing down the license plate number when Jones backed out quickly at her, the report said.

Police found Jones at Lovers Lane, where he had driven his car into a pole. A breath test indicated Jones had a blood alcohol content of 0.287 percent, more than three times the legal limit for drivers of 0.08. He remains jailed under a $2,500 bond.

Arrests — Sean Knight, 18, 278 Ayers Lane, Scottsville; Shawn Wilkerson, 36, 201 Church St., and Tyler Payne, 18, 814 Old East Main St., Scottsville, were arrested at 2:17 p.m. Friday in the 1500 block of Magnolia Street and charged with receiving stolen property (under $1,000).

According to city police arrest reports, Payne and Knight were in a truck hooked up to a trailer containing 485 gallons of fuel that had been obtained using a stolen fuel card belonging to a towing service.

Knight remains jailed under a $2,500 bond. Payne and Wilkerson were released Saturday on $2,500 bonds.

Burglary — Someone attempted to break into a residence in the 300 block of Cherry Way with a gift card between noon and 6:53 p.m. Saturday, according to a city police report.

Burglary — Someone entered an apartment in the 1600 block of Parkside Drive and took $200 in cash between 5 p.m. Thursday and 9 p.m. Friday, according to a city police report.

Burglary, criminal mischief — Someone removed the screen from a bedroom window of a residence in the 200 block of Carpenter Court between midnight Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday, according to a city police report. No entry was made into the residence.

Rape — A 46-year-old Brownsville woman reported that she was raped in her room at Ramada Inn, 4767 Scottsville Road, between 10 p.m. Friday and 3:10 a.m. Saturday, according to a city police report.

The woman said she remembered drinking in the hotel bar Friday night, consuming three shots of whiskey and three or four beers. She also remembered dancing with an unknown white male.

Security camera footage of the bar showed the woman entering about 10:30 p.m. Friday and leaving around 1 a.m. Saturday. The video showed her falling down and being helped up by two men, the report said, and a third man helped the woman to her room.

The victim said that she received a bruise on her left shoulder and a scratch on the left side of her lower back at some point during the night.

The victim called her son’s fiancee about 3 a.m. Saturday very upset. The fiancee and the victim’s son arrived at the hotel about 10 minutes later and found the victim wearing no clothing and still upset, the report said.

Theft — Someone took two chainsaws from a truck belonging to A&G Tree Service and parked in the 1300 block of Bybee Avenue between 7:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Monday, according to a city police report. Losses totaled $1,000.

Theft — Someone stole a gold necklace and gold coin medallion from Express Tan, 390 U.S. 31-W By-Pass, between 4:30 p.m. and 4:35 p.m. Oct. 1, according to a city police report. Losses totaled $800.

Theft, criminal mischief — Someone stole a mountain bike parked in the 400 block of Topmiller Avenue between 9:30 p.m. Thursday and 7:45 a.m. Friday, according to a city police report. The bike was chained to yard lamp and the chain had been cut. Losses and damage totaled $812.
