POLICE NEWS: Bowling Green man arrested in connection with stabbing

A woman was stabbed multiple times Monday afternoon outside a Bowling Green tire store, and police arrested a Bowling Green man in connection with the incident.
Roy M. Cutwright, 49, 2039 Russellville Road, Apt. 75, was arrested at 12:17 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of St. Charles Street and charged with first-degree assault.
According to a Bowling Green Police Department arrest report, Cutwright was witnessed stabbing Lou Allen with a knife in the parking lot outside Big O Tires, 1975 Russellville Road, early Monday afternoon.
Another man had chased Cartwright after he fled the scene, catching him and holding him for police at Big Red Supply, 135 St. Charles St.
Allen sustained two cuts to her right chest, one on her left chest, a defense wound on her right thumb and on her left hand, a cut on her right forearm and a major cut on her left bicep which the report said caused her to lose a “massive amount of blood.”
Allen was transported to The Medical Center for treatment.
Police recovered a bloody knife that Cutwright said he used to stab Allen, the report said. Blood also was found all over Allen’s car and on Cutwright’s clothing, according to the report.
Cutwright remains in Warren County Regional Jail under a $25,000 bond.
Arrest — Clifford D. Jay, 26, 1744B Cave Springs Ave., was arrested about 2 a.m. Saturday at Russellville Road and Springhill Avenue and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to wear seat belt.
According to a city police report, Jay was the driver of a car stopped by police for a traffic offense. During a search of the vehicle, police found 2.8 grams of methamphetamine, according to the report.
Jay remains in Warren County Regional Jail under a $5,000 bond.
Arrest — Esteban Dejesus Lowery, 28, no fixed address, Bowling Green, was arrested about 2 p.m. Friday and charged with first-degree fleeing/evading police (on foot), second-degree criminal trespassing, fourth-degree assault, second-degree disorderly conduct and violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO.
According to a city police report, officers responding to a reported disturbance at a residence in the 700 block of Brownslock Road saw Lowery fleeing the house on foot.
A woman who lived at the house alleged that Lowery had assaulted her daughter.
Police found Lowery in the 800 block of Woodford Street.
The victim said that she and Lowery were in an argument over child support when Lowery struck her several times with his fists and hit her in the mouth hard enough to dislodge a tooth, the report stated.
Lowery remains jailed under a $1,000 bond.
Arrest — Thomas Eugene Stoll, 40, 1370 High St., was arrested at 9:15 a.m. Friday and charged with second-degree robbery.
According to a city police arrest report, Stoll grabbed money from a man at the Tobacco Shoppe, 1541 U.S. 31-W By-Pass, during a Sept. 7 incident.
Stoll and the man struggled before Stoll ran from the scene. The victim and several witnesses described a man whose characteristics matched Stoll’s, and the victim identified Stoll as the suspect in a photo lineup, the report said.
Stoll remains jailed under a $2,500 bond.
Arrest — Donald Smith was arrested Sunday in Glasgow and charged with first-degree assault.
According to the Glasgow Police Department, Smith and Charles Seube were involved in an altercation on Garrett Avenue about 10:40 a.m. Sunday in which Seube received two stab wounds.
Seube was transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow for treatment and Smith was treated at the scene by Barren-Metcalfe Ambulance Service. The case remains under investigation.
Arrest — Cheryl Lynn Rose, 30, 5663 Bunnell Crossing, Hardyville, was arrested at 6:46 p.m. Monday on New Bowling Green Road and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (fourth or greater offense), reckless driving, third-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to a Glasgow Police Department arrest report, an officer saw Rose driving erratically on Veterans Outer Loop and on West Main Street. Rose appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance and passed out while police took her to T.J. Samson Community Hospital for blood and urine tests, the report said.
Police found a bottle with three Clonazepam pills and a syringe in her car, along with a spoon with suspected drug residue in her purse, according to the report.
She remains in Barren County Correction Center under a $2,500 cash bond.
Arrests — Christopher Ned Bray, 29, 4265 Mudlick Flippin Road, Tompkinsville and Bryan Neal McCue, 41, 1625 Jimtown Road, Lafayette, Tenn., were arrested at 3:33 a.m. this morning in the 500 block of S.L. Rogers Wells Boulevard, Glasgow.
According to a Glasgow Police Department arrest report, Bray was the driver of a car with one headlight illuminated.
Bray went on to fail sobriety tests after being stopped by police and a search of the vehicle uncovered three tanks of anhydrous ammonia, a small bag of marijuana and rolling papers, the report said.
Bray and McCue were each charged with three counts of knowingly possessing anhydrous ammonia in an unapproved container and one count each of second-degree wanton endangerment, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bray was additionally charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence and one headlight.
Both men remain in Barren County Correction Center under no bond.
Assault — A Bowling Green man reported being assaulted while walking through Lampkin Park, 938 Morgantown Road, between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Sunday, according to a city police report.
The victim, who had a deep cut on the right side of his forehead, said that as he was walking, a Hispanic man asked him for a cigarette.
As the victim reached for a cigarette, a black man struck the victim with a baseball bat, the report said.
Burglary, criminal mischief — Someone forced open the back door of a residence in the 1500 block of N. Sunrise Drive between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday, according to a city police report. Nothing was taken from the residence. Damage totaled $500.
Burglary, criminal mischief — Someone forced open the back door of a garage in the 2200 block of Conestoga Drive between 4 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. Friday, according to a city police report. Nothing was taken from the garage or the adjoining residence. Damage totaled $200.
Fraudulent use of a credit card — A Bowling Green woman reported that someone stole her bank card number some time on Aug. 9 and made fraudulent charges on her card totaling $1,063.70, according to a city police report.
Theft — Someone took an air conditioning unit from Bowling Green Estates, 2039 Russellville Road, between 4:30 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday, according to a city police report. Losses totaled $4,000.
Theft — Someone stole a jar of change from a residence in the 1900 block of Cedar Ridge Road between 8 a.m. Sept. 2 and 3 p.m. Thursday, according to a city police report. Losses totaled $2,000.
Theft — Someone stole a 1999 Lincoln Town Car parked at Bowling Green Shuttle Service, 523 State St., between 4:30 p.m. Friday and 4:06 a.m. Saturday, according to a city police report.
The car, valued at $4,000, was driven through the window of a Springfield, Tenn., business, and police there arrested the driver, Brandon Kirk, in connection with the crash, the report said.
Theft of firearm — Someone stole a .380-caliber automatic firearm from Porter Auto Sales, 129 U.S. 31-W By-Pass, some time Aug. 20, according to a city police report.
Theft of registration plate — Someone stole the decal from the license plate of a vehicle parked in the 1100 block of College Street between noon Saturday and 9:45 a.m. Sunday, according to a city police report.
Theft, criminal mischief — Someone stole the stereo and speakers from a car parked outside Greenwood Mall, 2625 Scottsville Road, between 6:20 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. Sept. 1, according to a city police report. Losses and damage totaled $3,243.
Wanton endangerment — A man caused a disturbance at P.J.’s College of Cosmetology, 1901 Russellville Road, between 11:15 a.m. and 11:35 a.m. Wednesday that included shaking a glass jar of Barbicide and splashing it onto an employee and a student, according to a city police report.
The director of the school said that the man was a former student who was removed from the roll due to his lack of attendance.
When he arrived Wednesday, he stated he wanted to continue classes, but became enraged when told he was removed from the roll.
The suspect shoved the director and destroyed the office area, eventually picking up the jar of barbacide, shaking it over his head and splashing it on the two victims.
After police arrived at the scene, the suspect called the school and talked to police, claiming he was a victim and that he had been struck by the director and had a cut on his neck.
Police have been unable to meet with the suspect and the case remains open.
