RUSSELLVILLE — Harriet T. White, 93, of Russellville, died Aug. 15, 2010, at Logan Memorial Hospital.

The Logan County native was born March 19, 1917. She was a homemaker and a founding member of United Pentecostal Church in Russellville, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, secretary and treasurer and was very involved with the Ladies Auxiliary. She was a daughter of the late Forrest David Taylor and Katie Jenkins Taylor and the wife of the late Boyd White. She was preceded in death by a stepmother, Inez Taylor; two brothers, Reuben Taylor and Herman Taylor; two sisters, Judy Barger and Cleoh Shock; and a daughter, Kathy White.

Funeral is at 1 p.m. Wednesday at The United Pentecostal Church, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Summers, Kirby & Sanders Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Youth Ministry or The United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry White and his wife, Ann, of Russellville, and Joe Boyd White and his wife, Diane, of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a daughter, Becky Stamper and her husband, Bill, of Russellville; grandchildren, Bart Stamper and his wife, Rose, of Seattle, Stephanie Price and her husband, Bill, and Chelle Hancock and her husband, Tim, all of Taylorville, Ill., Dr. Emile White Hutcheson and her husband, Richard, of Rainsville, Ala., the Rev. Ben Stamper and his wife, Dana, of Wilmore, and Cyndy White of Authur, Ill.; stepgrandchildren, Melissa Brown and her husband, Glenn, and Johnny Gholson, all of Nashville, and Sheri Perkins and her husband, John, and Renee Payton, all of Springfield, Mo.; nine great-grandchildren; an uncle, James Taylor and his wife, Sue, of Cottontown, Tenn.; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Barbara Raymer of Russellville.
