Ruth Lee Wright, 82, of Bowling Green, died at 2:52 p.m. Aug. 8, 2010, at a Bowling Green nursing home.
She was a retired cafeteria manager for Potter Gray Elementary School and a member of Greenwood Park Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to cook and loved to bake and give the items away. She was a daughter of the late Noah L. Chaffin and Valley Brown Chaffin and the wife of the late Joseph J. Wright Sr. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph “John” Wright Jr.; two brothers, William “Bill” Chaffin and Samuel M. Chaffin; and a sister, Lena Boone.
Funeral is at 1 p.m. Wednesday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol Ann Hendricks of Bowling Green; a sister, Margaret Smith of Gallatin, Tenn.; grandchildren, Bryon Hendricks, Sherri Lee Hendricks Rathbun and her husband, Mark, and Chonda M. White and her husband, Keith, all of Bowling Green, and Jana M. Walker and her husband, Ben, of Lewisburg, Tenn.; five great-grandchildren, Colton Rathbun, Canaan Rathbun, Savannah White, Anna Marlea Walker and Sara Kate Walker; one expected great-granddaughter, Summer Ann White; and several special nieces, nephews and friends.
