RUSSELLVILLE — Donnie Joe Kennedy, 51, of Russellville, died July 13, 2010, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
The Logan County native was born April 30, 1959. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and was a drywall installer. He was a son of the late Joe Glenn Kennedy Sr. and Evelyn Joyce Knight Jenkins, of Elkton, who survives. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie Kennedy and Joe Glenn Kennedy Jr.
Funeral is at 2 p.m. Friday at Young Funeral Home, with burial in Dripping Spring Cemetery. Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today and at 8 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Other survivors include a stepmother of 45 years, Lelia Belle Kennedy, of Russellville; his fiancee, Lisa Spurlin, of Elkton; a son, Barry Kennedy, of Russellville; a daughter, Kristie Kennedy, of Russellville; three brothers, Brian Kennedy and his wife, Judy, and Mike Kennedy and his wife, Emily, all of Russellville, and Johnny Tucker, of Elkton; a stepbrother, Sammie Haines, of Phenix City, Ala.; three sisters, Debbie Taylor and her husband, John, and Marilyn Crowder and her husband, Joe, all of Elkton, and Linda Powell and her husband, Marty, of Russellville; four stepsisters, Lynn Hartford and Paula Haines, both of Russellville, Tina Haines, of Bakersville, N.C., and Debbie Albott, of Evansville, Ind.; and a grandchild, Haleigh Duncan, of Russellville.
