Becker aces seventh at CrossWinds

Jim Becker aced the seventh hole Tuesday at CrossWinds Golf Course from 155 yards using a 5-iron.

Becker’s hole-in-one was witnessed by Pete Johnson, Jimmy Moore and Tim Eadens.

BGCC holds Ladies Day event

The Bowling Green Country Club held a Ladies Day “Hate ’Em Holes” competition Thursday.

Barbara Smith, Paula Potter, Lynne Durham and Ruth Anne Bell tied for first place.

Vera Murphree and Durham chipped in, while Durham finished with the fewest putts.

Elk Foundation hosting banquet

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is hosting a Southern Kentucky Chapter Big Game Banquet at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Park Mammoth Resort in Park City.

The festivities begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturday with an archery and pigeon shoot. The banquet, which includes silent and live auctions, follows.
