The Amazing Night Sky at Western Kentucky University’s Hardin Planetarium

Published 12:00 am Wednesday, June 16, 2010

This WKU’s Department of Physics and Astronomy is offering a summer presentation at Hardin Planetarium entitled The Amazing Night Sky.  This is a new program created and presented by Dr. Rachel Campbell, the Department’s Educational Observatory Scientist.

The presentation will highlight the areas in which amateur astronomers are still able to make significant contributions to our understanding of astronomy and how locals can become involved.  Movies, animations and photos from various sources will be featured as well as a discussion on how individuals and families can preserve their own local dark sky.
