- Far Off Broadway Players present Noises Off
Noises Off is a hilarious adult farce written by Michael Frayn featuring a theatrical touring company and its escapades during the ten week run of the show. It is a comedy about putting on a comedy as a cast of itinerant actors rehearse a flop called Nothing On.
During the first act, the lovable but inept cast of Nothing On are on stage for a run through of a final dress rehearsal as the director sits in the darkened auditorium shouting out directions and trying to get everybody ready for the opening performance.

In act two, the drama continues backstage after being on the road for month now, and relationships between cast members, as well as the quality of Nothing On have deteriorated.
In the final act, the tour is reaching an end and the performance of Nothing On has reached the point of complete and hilarious deterioration. The business of performing the show has become an after thought as cast members have become embroiled in trying to solve their personal problems amid collapsing stage scenery, exploding props, and actors taking pot shots at each other both backstage and on stage. Ultimately, they are able to carry off some semblance the show because as they all know, “the show must go on”.
Performances of Noises Off will be on June 25-26 at 7:00 PM and June 27 at 2:00 PM at the Plaza Theatre, 115 East Main Street in Glasgow, Ky. Tickets are $10.
