RosaLee Nancy Burch Harris, 93, of Bowling Green, died May 20, 2010, at a Woodburn nursing home.
The Knoxville, Tenn., native was born March 23, 1917. She was a former bookkeeper for Rabold’s Men’s Store and for Dr. Michael W. Howell. She was a survivor of the worldwide flu pandemic of 1918, as well as a cancer survivor. She loved to sew and was an excellent cook. She was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late James Joshua Burch Jr. and Dora Campbell Burch and the wife of the late Charles B. Harris, who passed away in 1995. She was preceded in death by a sister, May Burch; and a newborn brother, who was taken by the flu pandemic, along with her mother. She was also preceded in death by a stepmother, Della Martin Burch and her son, Grant Burch; her second stepmother, Martha Elizabeth “Lizzie” Nave Burch and her children, Anna Estelle Creech Trent, Charles Eddie Creech, Billie Bentonburch, James “Jim” Burch Jr., Robert Nave Burch, Larry Burch, Ora Dee Burch Staten and Doris Burch Anderson, all of whom were like brothers and sisters.
Funeral is at 10 a.m. Saturday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Broadway Avenue chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the entire staff or Hopkins Nursing Facility at Woodburn for their excellent care and loving kindness shown to Mrs. Harris.

Survivors include a daughter, Judith Anne Harris White and her husband, Donald Ray White, of Bowling Green; a granddaughter, Sherry Kay White Johnson, of Gainesville, Fla.; a grandson, Barry Ray White and his wife, Lisa Robin Dearing White, of Bowling Green; two great-grandsons, Hunter Ray White and Cam Thomas White, both of Bowling Green; five half sisters and brothers, who were like sisters and brothers to her, Polly Whittaker, Janie Dalton, Mary Lou Russell, Jackie Burch and Roy Wade Burch, all of Bowling Green; four stepsisters-in-law who were like sisters, Mae Burch, Ellen Burch, Addie Burch and Ramona Burch, all of Bowling Green; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
