Published 12:00 am Monday, May 3, 2010

Fountain Square Players presents The Dixie Swim Club by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, Jamie Wooten and directed by Lynn Gilcrease.  Performance times for The Dixie Swim Club are May 20-22 at 8pm and May 23 at 3pm.

The Dixie Swim Club tells the story of how five Southern women, whose friendships began many years ago on their college swim team, set aside a long weekend every August to recharge those relationships.

The Dixie Swim Club focuses on four of these weekends, and spans a period of thirty-three years. As their lives unfold and the years pass, these women increasingly rely on one another, through advice and raucous repartee, to get through the challenges (men, sex, marriage, parenting, divorce, aging) that life flings at them.

The Dixie Swim Club is the story of these five unforgettable women – a hilarious and touching comedy about friendships that last forever…

The performance will be held at The Phoenix Theatre at 545 Morris Alley.  Tickets are $12 for adults; $10 for students and seniors and $8 for children under 12.  For more information or to purchase tickets online visit www.fountainsquareplayers.org.
