It all began with the idea that children’s books can change lives. Since 1919, Children’s Book Week has been celebrated across the country. The Warren County Public Library celebration will include fun activities for children.
“Children’s Book week is a great opportunity for our library to not only celebrate and promote kids reading and books but, be able to provide fun craft programs to pique kids interest in the vast amount of children’s literature available to them to read,” says Outreach Coordinator, Stephanie Wycihowski.
Events include an origami program on Thursday, May 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Kirby Branch. On Friday, May 14th at 3:30 p.m. at Main, kids can enjoy hearing stories about gardens and then get their hands dirty by planting their own flower to take home. On Tuesday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Main Library, dads and sons will hear high-flying airplane stories and make a special glider.
Registration is required for all classes. Please contact Stephanie Wycihowski at 270 781-4882 ext 224 to register.
