Bowling Green Coalition of Active Neighborhoods (BGCAN) will hold their Spring Rally of the Neighborhoods Thursday night, April 29 at Bowling Green Parks & Recreation Large Community Room. Informal networking and supper will begin at 6:00 p.m., with the program starting at 6:30. Parks & Recreation is located at 225 E. 3rd Avenue.
“Ask Your Neighbor” networking and election of new board members will be on the agenda. Bowling Green Police International Communities Liaison Officer Monica Woods and International Center Director James Robinson will give a joint presentation about the obstacles, responsibilities and opportunities immigrants and refugees encounter in our community.
A slate of potential board members has been prepared for the board election, but interested candidates are encouraged to contact Neighborhood Action about filling a future vacancy. This Spring Rally fulfills the training requirement for the 2010 Select Neighborhood Action Program (SNAP) grant cycle.
BGCAN is a networking organization made up of many neighborhood groups and individual residents who are interested in improving the quality of life in Bowling Green’s neighborhoods.
