Toyota Tundras are made in the U.S.A.

This is in response to Sharon Kimme’s letter Friday, complaining that the Alvaton Fire Department had purchased a Toyota Tundra pickup, and that because Toyota is a foreign automaker, that this is somehow un-American.
Perhaps it is Ms. Kimme who should wake up and realize the truth.
Tundras are built in San Antonio, Texas, and Princeton, Ind., by American workers, using parts supplied by American suppliers, who in turn also employ thousands of Americans. In fact, the Tundra has more domestic content, 80 percent, than the Chevy Corvette, Chevy Silverado pickup, Ford F-Series pickups and Dodge Dakota and Ram pickups.
This whole business of labeling certain makes of autos as un-American, when those companies employ thousands of Americans and are vital to the U.S. economy, is ridiculous. Please get your facts straight.
