Beegie Adair: Into Somethin'

Beegie’s newest recording, Into Somethin’ has been released. According to the liner notes: “This recording is a collection of songs and people that mean a great deal to me. The unifying theme in putting this collection together was to play songs from composers I admire [Thelonious Monk, Stevie Wonder, Benny Golson and more], and in some cases, songs that favorite friends wrote, friends who were kind enough to share their gift with me, and allow me to write a lyric. It’s a wide range of styles and genres, and that’s what I wanted. The solo tunes are songs I’ve been playing for years and my duo partners are musicians I have worked with in live performance, but never recorded with. It’s a new journey, a new direction, and for me, it’s time.”
