GLASGOW — Ida Belle Simpson, 91, of Glasgow, died Feb. 17, 2010, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
The Willow Grove, Tenn., native was a homemaker and a member of Faith United Methodist Church. She was a daughter of the late Charles Tracy Cyphers and Vestie Colson Cyphers. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Robert G. Simpson Sr.; a sister, Magdaline Wright; and two brothers, Willie “Bill” Cyphers and George Barlow Cyphers.
Funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Dutch Creek Cemetery. Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Faith United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her children, Robert G. Simpson and his wife, Judy, of Lexington, Sharon Denham and her husband, Harold, of Glasgow, and Tony Simpson and his wife, Lynn, of College Grove, Tenn.; two sisters, Ruby Smith, of Orlando, Fla., and Jewell Adams, of Summer Shade; a half brother, Kelly Cyphers, of Illinois; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
