Warren County Public Schools honored for conserving energy

Warren County Public Schools was recently honored for its efforts to conserve energy with the Andromeda Star of Energy Efficiency Award.

State Rep. Jim DeCesare, R-Bowling Green, read a resolution on the floor of the Kentucky General Assembly last week honoring the county school system for its achievement.

Warren County was one of six award winners honored in September during the 17th annual Evening with the Stars of Energy Efficiency Awards Dinner in Washington, D.C.

The awards are given by the Washington, D.C.-based Alliance to Save Energy.

DeCesare’s resolution also honored the school system for having 14 buildings that earned the Environmental Protection Agency’s Energy Star Award.
