WKU graduate finds success as actor

WKU graduate Matthew Gerbig, now known as Matthew Alan, has had a successful acting career since his days on the Hill.

The 2000 WKU graduate from Evansville, Ind., recently appeared in the holiday season remake of the 1986 “Peter Comes Home for Christmas” Folgers coffee commercial.

For the past two years, the former member of WKU’s Forensic Team has worked on several network television shows, including “Lost,” “The Forgotten,” “Veronica Mars,” “Eleventh Hour” and “Cold Case.”

Alan also has wrapped up two movies — “2084” and “Beautiful Wave” – that will be coming out soon.

This month, Alan will begin production on his first film called “Bowman.” He is also working on a new war/military video game for Playstation and is doing voiceovers on other games and cartoons.
