2010 Derby City Film Festival announces film selections

The Derby City Film Festival has announced the 45 films selected to be screened- representing over 12 countries and including 6 filmmakers from Kentucky.  The 2010 Derby City Film Festival runs February 19th-21st at the Clifton Center.  The complete list of films, film descriptions, and screening times, as well as information on lodging is available at www.derbycityfilmfest.com www.derbycityfilmfest.com

The 6 films from Kentucky selected for the festival include (synopsis’ available online):

The 45 selections include 13 international films, 14 world premieres and 7 US premieres.  The categories include: Feature, Documentary, US Short, and International Short.  The festival will also include selected film panels (TBA) and film workshops conducted by independent film leaders in writing, acting, and FX make-up.

Festival passes and tickets are on sale now through website.  The Bluegrass Brewing Company will host the Friday and Saturday after parties with live music and drink specials for film festival patrons.  Tickets for the awards reception are limited and will only be available until February 1st, 2010.
