JOPLIN, Mo. — Anna B. Yocam Best, 90, of Bowling Green, Ky., formerly of Joplin, died at 6:50 a.m. Dec. 25, 2009, at the Hospice Center in Bowling Green.

The Joplin native was born Feb. 16, 1919. She was a homemaker and a loving mother. She was a daughter of the late Arthur Yocam and Lula Mae Yocam. She married Vadis Lee Best in Joplin on May 9, 1941. He preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 2003.

Graveside service is at 1 p.m. today at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation was today at Parker Mortuary.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice Center of Southern Kentucky or the American Cancer Society, in care of the mortuary.

Survivors include a son, Gary Best and his wife, Cheryl, of Bowling Green; and two grandchildren, Melissa Best, of Lexington, and Kevin Best, of Bowling Green.
